Building homes for you level & true.

Level & True Homes works two sides of the same trade in eastern Connecticut. We buy houses that need real work, renovate them fully, and sell them finished — and we build new homes ground-up, from the drawings to the last walkthrough. Straightforward deals, honest work, no pressure.

The name is the standard

On a job site, two words decide whether the work is any good. We took them for the company name because they describe how we build — and how we do business.

Level .

ADJECTIVE — CARPENTRY

Flat, even, and horizontal — nothing tipped, nothing sagging.

Off the job site it means the same thing it means on one: straight with people. The numbers on the table, the same story in every conversation.

True .

ADJECTIVE — CARPENTRY

Plumb and square — a wall that stands exactly as it was measured.

A thing is true when it matches what it claims to be. That goes for a finished house, and it goes for a deal.

Every house we buy gets measured against those two words twice — once when we price the offer, and once when we sign off on the finished work. If it isn't level and it isn't true, it isn't done.

CHECK IT YOURSELF — DRAG ACROSS THE VIAL

LEVEL

Slide your pointer or finger along the bar. When the bubble sits between the two lines, it's level — that's the only reading we accept.

Flips & new construction

Two revenue streams, one standard. Flips are one side of the business; new construction is the other. Different starting points — a tired house, or an empty lot — with the same two partners accountable and the same level-and-true finish at the end.

REVENUE STREAM — 01

House flips

We buy distressed single-family houses across eastern Connecticut, renovate them fully — structure and systems first, then kitchens, baths, and finishes — and sell them finished to their next owners. Our New London house is the current flip on the bench.

New construction

Ground-up homes, built from the drawings. We start with a buildable lot, work through plans, layout, and permits, and build the house ourselves to the same standard as our renovations — no spec shortcuts, no handoffs to strangers.

THE FLIP PROCESS — BUY · RENOVATE · SELL

STEP — 1

Buy

We buy single-family houses across eastern Connecticut in any condition — the tired, the dated, the inherited, the ones that need more work than a regular listing can carry. If a house has good bones and a fair price exists, we'll find it.

STEP — 2

Renovate

Brian leads the work on site. Structure and systems come first — the unglamorous parts you can't see from the curb — then kitchens, baths, and finishes. Full renovations, built to be lived in for decades, not just to photograph well.

STEP — 3

Sell

Finished houses go back on the market for their next owners, listed openly like any other home. Buyers get a house that was gone over by the people whose name is on the company. Realtors are welcome — talk to us about what's coming.

New London, Connecticut STREAM 01 · FLIP — UNDER CONTRACT

Our first flip is a full renovation in New London — under contract now, with the work to follow once we close. These are the listing photos, the house as it stands today. When the work is finished and the house measures up, it will be listed for sale. Buyers and realtors who want a first look when it's ready — send us an email below and we'll be in touch.

New construction, eastern Connecticut STREAM 02 · NEW BUILDS — LOTS & PLANS

The other half of the business is building new. We're lining up buildable lots and working from architectural drawings toward our first ground-up homes. If you own land that might fit — or you're a buyer who wants new — start with an email below.

04

If you own a house that needs work

Selling a house the regular way means fixing it first — repairs, cleanout, showings, months of it. We buy houses as they sit. Here's the honest version of how it works and who it tends to fit.

  • You inherited a house and don't want to become a landlord or a contractor.
  • The repair list keeps growing — roof, systems, water in the basement — and you'd rather sell than fund it.
  • You're moving and don't want to renovate a house you're leaving just to list it.
  • The house has sat vacant, or a rental has become more trouble than it's worth.
  • You'd like a clean, private sale — no sign in the yard, no parade of showings.
  • You own a buildable lot or land — that's the starting point for our new construction work, and we'll talk about it the same straightforward way.
1

Tell us about the house

Send an email with the town, the basics, and your situation. That's all it takes to start — no forms with forty fields.

2

We walk it with you

Brian walks the house himself. The person estimating the work is the person who will do the work, so the number you hear is built on the real renovation, not a guess.

3

You get a straightforward offer

If the house fits what we buy, you'll get a clear offer with the reasoning behind it. Take your time with it. An offer is an offer — it isn't a countdown clock, and a no costs you nothing.

05

Buying a finished house — flipped or new

Whether it started as a renovation or as drawings for a new build, a Level & True house is finished top to bottom before it's listed — structure and systems first, then the rooms you live in. When our New London flip is finished, it will be listed for sale like any other home on the market, and new-construction homes will follow as lots and plans come together.

Two partners, one standard

Level & True Homes LLC is a two-man company based in Salem, Connecticut. No call center, no franchise, no handoffs — when you talk to us, you're talking to the owners.

PARTNER

Tim O'Connor

Tim runs the business side — finding the houses and lots, working the numbers, and the conversation with sellers from first email to closing. He comes to it from a career building brands like The Blue Buffalo Pet Food Co., Epson N.A., and Decathlon (international) — the same discipline, applied to houses: know the product cold, and say only what you can back up. If you write to us, Tim is who writes back.

PARTNER — CONTRACTOR & CRAFTSMAN

Brian Bresnan

Brian runs the work. Before Level & True, he spent 5 years as GC/Project Manager working with the "ultra properties" in Westerly, RI — high-end houses where the finish work has nowhere to hide. He's the contractor on site — framing, systems, finish — and the one who calls a house done or not done. His standard is the one in the company name.
